Keith Gilkes

Director of Development and Communications

Keith Gilkes is a well-respected and invaluable voice in the public and private arenas. He has a long and successful track record of helping businesses, associations, and nonprofits manage challenging situations in ways that maximize their potential.

As Director of Development and Communications of the Dwight and Linda Davis Foundation, Keith’s career was built around some of the Foundation’s core values. These include striving for excellence, acting with integrity, encouraging collaboration, investing in effective leadership, taking a long-term view, and being proactive.

Keith founded Platform Communications and is the current Executive Chairman of the Midwestern strategic communications firm. With clients that include corporations, nonprofits, and associations, Keith utilizes his extensive experience in the legislative and executive branches to provide an array of communication, public affairs, and organizational management services.

Prior to founding Platform, he was Chief of Staff for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. Keith spearheaded and set up the Gov. Walker administration, guiding the office and managing all staff and appointees within the executive branch.

A 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Keith earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with an emphasis in Public Administration, Criminal Law, State Government, and Political Philosophy.
