Craig Schessler is Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at the Dwight and Linda Davis Foundation. His work ensures the Foundation can financially support its mission to foster economic development, enhance quality of life, and sustain and grow strong communities. For more than 19 years as a Certified Public Accountant, Craig has assisted a diverse client base — including large multistate corporations, closely held private businesses, and everything in between. In the nonprofit environment — where every dollar must advance impact — these skills become even more valuable. As CFO and Treasurer, Craig brings a rare blend of strategic insight, technical precision, and ethical stewardship to the Dwight and Linda David Foundation. Before joining the Foundation, Craig was a trusted partner in Wipfli LLP’s tax practice, where he specialized in helping clients in the manufacturing, retail, and distribution sectors navigate the complex, ever-changing tax landscape. His hands-on style and dedication to client success earned him the respect of businesses throughout the region. Craig graduated from Wausau East High School in 2001 and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accountancy at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where he graduated in 2006. Craig and his wife, Tara, live in Rothschild with their three children, Titus, Brinlee and Melissa.
